EDA Web Policy for Business Listings

Criteria regarding the placement of a business in online Business Directory

The Elysian Economic Development Authority (EDA) does hereby set policy for the determination of the process for allowing information to be published in the Business Directory:

The following is determined to be the process:

1. All material to be placed on www.elysianmn.com shall pass through the EDA or their designated staff.
2. A business may request to be placed on the website. They shall provide a short summary of what their business is and the service it provides.
3. A website address and e-mail may be included in the description, and linking is available for a one time fee of $25. This fee helps to offset the expense of maintaining this website.
4. An "Elysian Business" allowed on www.elysianmn.com will be any business located within a three (3) mile radius of the City of Elysian. Businesses located beyond this range may be included after discussion and approval by the EDA Board.
5. Once a year, a letter will be sent to each business listed in the directory inquiring if they wish to make any updates or changes to their entry.
6. When a new business opens, the online business directory will be introduced to them by letter and an offer made to include their business information.
7. Each year, the EDA Board has the right to consider if a fee shall be charged, to the Elysian businesses for placement of their name and summary and a link to their URL on the website.
8. The EDA reserves the right to request verifying information of the business owner which may include but is not limited to a certificate of good standing, copy of required licenses, tax id number, and references.
9. As a service to residents and visitors, the business listings will present the following business information in the business directory at www.elysianmn.com:
• Business name
• Principal owner or contact person
• Address
• Phone
• Fax
• Website address (can be an active link for a fee, see number 3 above)
• E-mail address (not an active link)
• A short description of the business
